the first week of October, the second crop of the red raspberries
and gold raspberries are ready. These deliciously sweet berries are
ideal for jams, jellies, pies, and desserts. These raspberries are
great just for eating.
The gold raspberries are similar in taste to the red raspberries.
The bright, contrasting color of the two make an appealing mix for
your desserts.
Reillys Summer Seat Farm currently has an
acre of raspberries, with crops in spring and fall.
Berry picking has become a family favorite. Fall Berry Picking runs through September.
Picking berries is an ideal activity for the entire family. We provide the
containers, so you need no special preparation.
Red and gold raspberries do have
thorns. Most of the raspberries are found on the outside
edges of the plant, so you do not need special clothing
to avoid scratches. The rows between the raspberry
bushes are mowed and you can move
around easily.
