at Reilly's Summer Seat Farm
Reilly's Summer Seat Farm & Garden Center offers a
wonderful array of school field trips, scout tours, birthday
parties, farm tours, and festivals that
are both educational and entertaining. Within 15 minutes of
downtown Pittsburgh, Reilly's offers residents of Allegheny County
(and other surrounding areas in southwestern PA) an opportunity to
experience the country and have some great fun.

Schools in the Pittsburgh area looking for a great field trip or
school tour should consider a day at Reilly's Summer Seat Farm.
In the spring the school tours feature the strawberry patch.
In the fall, the school tours features the pumpkin patch. All
of the school tours provide an opportunity to visit and feed the
farm animals - something that many Pittsburgh children have never
had a chance to do!
Our tours are ideal for more than just school
field trips. Church group tours, Cub Scouts and Boy Scout
Tours, Brownie and Girl Scout Tours, unique birthday parties, and
families all enjoy a visit to the farm and learn its many lessons.

Available in May for Children ages 4-10.
Spring is a wonderful time to visit the farm. Baby
animals are arriving and the strawberry plants are
blooming. Reilly’s Summer Seat Farm offers an exciting
and educational tour. Located just 15 minutes from
downtown Pittsburgh, this family farm provides a great
interactive experience that children will long remember.

- A fun hayride to the blooming strawberry fields where the
farmer will explain how he plants and cares for the
Strawberries. The wagons are covered so the tours go rain or
shine.
- An educational presentation about strawberries and how they
grow will be given in the turn-of-the-Century barn. A story
featuring Suzy Strawberry and a puppet named Blossom, will help
the children learn important Agricultural Concepts.
- An exciting opportunity for the children to see, hold and
pet baby farm animals (chicks, ducklings, lambs, piglet, kid,
and calf) will be offered. The children may also feed the sheep
and goats.
- This is a real farm experience as well as an educational
tour. Everyone receives a dormant Strawberry Plant to take home
and instructions about how to plant it.

Summer Tours

Reilly’s
Farm offers a wonderful autumn tour that teaches children
agricultural concepts and provide a memorable farm experience.
Children will pick a pumpkin, help feed the animals, and make
memories of a lifetime. Located just 15 minutes from downtown
Pittsburgh, this family farm provides a great interactive experience

Custom-Made Farm Tours & Birthday Parties
Tours can be arranged for birthday parties, family gatherings,
and summer camp groups. Group tours are custom-made to fit the needs of
your group.

Easter Egg Hunt
Friday and Saturday before Easter Sunday.
A wonderful activity for children from 2 to 10 is the fun-filled Easter Egg Hunt
at Reilly’s Summer Seat Farm. It’s a real celebration of Spring!
Easter Egg Hunt Highlights

A Hayride to Bunnyland, atop the hill, where the
Easter Bunny has his nests.

The Easter Bunny will greet you and you’ll have
plenty of photo ops.

There are lots of Easter eggs hidden, so children
will have fun finding them.

When they find ten eggs, they receive a coupon for an
Easter Basket.
-
On the way down the hill, families can stop for a balloon
at the balloon typhoon.

The Spring lambs will be frolicking in the barnyard with the
other animals.

Children can have a design painted on their faces.

This delightful family activity costs less than the price of a
movie (includes hayride, Easter egg Hunt, Easter Basket, balloon, and face
painting).
Cost is $6.75/child participating in the Easter
Egg Hunt. Those not hunting for eggs, will be charged a $3.00
fee.. No reservations needed – Come and enjoy Spring!

Teddy Bear Picnic

An Awesome August activity
(Early August 10:30 am to 12)
A picnic with neighborhood bears.
Gather at Reilly's in early August under the spreading Linden
trees with your picnic lunch, kids, and teddy bears in hand. The day's
activities include a morning of games, stories, and a hayride. There will
also be a chance to milk a cow and feed the animals.
